I always carry a multi-tool with me. Recently i had bought Leatherman style PS as it is very small and compact in size and fits perfectly in my key-chain. Also it does not have a knife so it can be carried without any legal restrictions. I made this sheath to protect my motorcycle console from scratches. Kydex is a thermoplastic and can be easily melted and shaped. It is widely used for making gun holsters and knife sheath.
Using hot air gun or by baking in oven the Kydex sheet will become soft and can be moulded in shape.
With the help of padding and clamps hold the sheet tell it becoms hard again.
After that I had drilled the holes for rivets and installed them.
Next step is to check the fit of tool, if the fit is too tight or loose the sheet can be heated again and reformed.
Final step is to cut and shape the edges. For cutting i had used Dremel tool and for making surface smooth i had sanded the edges using sand paper.
